We are seeking an Offsite Construction Support Manager to provide leadership and oversight across multiple construction packages on a large-scale mining and infrastructure project. This role is based in Johannesburg.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple active construction contracts and contractor relationships.
- Monitor contractor performance against safety, quality, schedule, and commercial requirements.
- Lead weekly contractor progress meetings and coordinate interface activities.
- Support construction execution through risk identification, issue resolution, and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and manage Construction Site Instructions (CSIs) and Requests for Contract Amendment (RFCAs).
- Review contractor invoices and provide approval recommendations.
- Coordinate weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly construction reporting.
- Act as a key liaison between EPCM teams, contractors, and the client.
- Support site construction management coverage during critical project activities as required.
Qualifications And Skills Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience managing construction contracts within mining, infrastructure, energy, or large industrial projects.
- Strong understanding of EPCM project delivery environments.
- Experience with contractor management, change control, construction execution, and commercial processes.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
