TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Material Control Lead role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, execution, and control of materials management activities across assigned projects or functional areas
- Oversee implementation of material management processes, ensuring alignment with project timelines and company standards
- Manage supplier interactions, including participation in commercial negotiations for critical packages
- Coordinate material requirements, tracking, and reporting to support project delivery milestones
- Provide guidance and leadership to project teams or procurement functions as needed
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across internal teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors
- Prepare and deliver regular reports on material status, risks, and performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a relevant field
- Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in materials management, procurement, or supply chain within complex project environments
- Strong understanding of project-based material planning and execution practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels
- Solid knowledge of applicable regulations and industry standards
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities in deadline-driven environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications in supply chain, procurement, or materials management
- Experience in large-scale engineering, construction, or industrial projects
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capability
- Advanced computer skills, including ERP or materials tracking systems
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
