Area Estimator

Responsible for detailed cost estimates of the project scope including labour, equipment, raw materials, purchased equipment and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Prepares proper cost estimations for client Variation request and for Project Variation request to the client.
• Prepares estimation cost for necessary claims.
• Discusses, explains, submits, presents and justifies the estimations to the client when necessary.
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price.
• Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information.
• Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in construction related role.
• Good communication and documentation skills with clients and suppliers and to interact with colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets.
• Experience with MS Office.
• Experience managing vendor relationship, estimation, analyzing information and reporting.
• Demonstrated strong team work and decision making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to US.
