We currently seek high caliber Engineering Project Manager for a long-term basis within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Long Beach, CA.
Job Requirements
• Self-starter - Resourceful and able to troubleshoot issues but understands when to ask for help/clarification, Critical thinker
• General PM experience
- Experience writing proposals and change requests
- Experience with developing project schedules
- Understanding of overall project budgets
- Able to oversee and coordinate multiple disciplines – including subcontractors
- Good communication
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering • A sound theoretical background in strength of materials, engineering mechanics, theory of elasticity and thin plates, advanced mathematics (including matrix algebra), and design of structures.
Previous experience working with refineries - Experience with retrofit/tenant improvements of buildings in the petrochemical industry
- Understanding of building systems (structural, MEP, architectural, roofing, etc)
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations (local, state) – building, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, energy
- Experience with plan check, permitting, and inspection process
- Experience working in the oil and gas industry
- Project phases, funding
- Specifications, standards
- Safety
- Construction
