Here is an exciting opportunity to join a mega project in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Boilermaker Superintendent! The purpose of this position is to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned craft areas in conformance with plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This opportunity boasts longevity, a great work-life balance rotation of 14/7, and optimal accommodations.
Job Duties:
• Maintaining progress of assigned Area. Information will be provided to Cost and Schedule Control
• Monitor and audit the performance of personnel in assuring that work is completed according to specifications, plans, construction schedules, applicable safety regulations, and quality requirements
• Coordinates with Project Engineering to resolve technical problems encountered during the construction phase; provides an immediate response
• Insures conformance to project work rules and regulations
• Participates in weekly review meetings to review and discuss work progress, and area plans in order to resolve problems of schedule delays indicated by trend data
Requirements:
• Successfully managed mechanical equipment installation activities on projects, fully knowledgeable and experienced in the means, processes and methods needed to successfully construct and install all mechanical equipment including, but not limited to vessels, tanks, exchangers, heaters, boilers, towers, compressors, pumps, dryers, conveying systems, water treatment systems, filtration systems, process systems, etc.
• Typically serve as lead person to coordinate all activities within their assigned scope in an active construction work area
• Successfully supervised and managed a minimum of 100 craft personnel.
• Generally responsible to assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance with all pertinent requirements
