Brief Description

Bridge Engineer with 5-20 years’ experience. The successful candidate will be experienced in structural engineering as it relates to bridges, buildings, temporary works, or a combination of the three and will have the organizational skills necessary to independently complete all types of bridge and building design projects.


Typical Duties:

Structural analysis and design

Contract document preparation including plans, specifications, and estimates

Assist with project budget and schedule management

Participation in meetings with clients and project team members

Quality review of structural calculations and contract documents

Be responsible for growing the capability of the team to deliver projects in the UK and overseas in the Highways and Rail Sectors.

To take overall responsibility for delivery of all work undertaken by the team to programme and budget. Workload will include delivering projects for major clients such as HS2, Highways England, Transport for London etc

You will input into the bidding process on key pursuits

You will take overall responsibility for technical sign off of designs carried out by your team on certain projects.

To drive 100% BIM as well as digital initiatives including computational design. It is expected that the Team will taking the leading role in Digital Development with regards to Bridges going forward.


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of progressive experience in Bridge/Structural Engineering

Proficiency in structural analysis programs such as SAP, GTStrudl, or STAAD

Project design and management experience

Desire to work with a spirit of teamwork to help build the company in our early years
