TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Construction Director role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of major projects, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and internal standards.
- Champion a proactive safety culture, embedding safety into all aspects of project execution.
- Oversee change management processes to ensure scope integrity and contractual compliance.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks through structured planning and ongoing evaluation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and departments to maintain seamless project execution.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols in line with corporate standards.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, progress tracking, and executive-level reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison for community engagement and stakeholder relations.
- Foster a high-performance team environment through mentorship, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure consistent application of company policies across all project locations.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in project leadership roles within large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects.
- Exposure to mega projects in mining and metals.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, safety standards, and quality systems.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and standard business software.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Spanish language proficiency is an asset.
- Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
