"TRS has a urgently requirement for an Offshore Chief Engineer (Mechanical Supervisor) with Jack Up project experience within the Oil and Gas Industry to join our leading international client's Offshore project team based in BAHRAIN (SHIPYARD) / SAUDI ARABIA (OFFSHORE)."
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Hold complete responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the engine room and any maintenance of machinery on ship powered by main propulsion machinery of 3.000 kW propulsion power or more.
• As key member of the onboard crew, ensure the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of vessel equipment and machinery in accordance with the International Conventions, Codes, Flag State Regulations, Class Rules, local laws & regulations, and company Requirement.
• Whenever required, act as MS (Maintenance Supervisor) as defined in IMO resolution A. 1079 (28).
• Whenever required, act as IHM Designated Person.
• As part of the vessel management, ensure the best performance of the vessel and its crew to achieve the project requirements.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• (A) Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical field, of which at least 4 years onboard a MOU.
• During the MOU period, at least 1 year in supervisory position. Alternatively,
• (B) Minimum 5 years’ experience in Mechanical field, of which at least 1 year onboard a MOU.
• *Sea Service shall be proved by seaman book or Company letter proving sea service.
• Minimum 3 year-experience with NOV drilling equipment.
• (A) High school plus documentary evidence of completion of a formal mechanical apprenticeship or training program
• (B) Bachelor of Science degree from a recognize school of technology
• STCW Certificates necessary for the required rank (or higher rank) - MANDATORY
o COC/COP – STCW A-B1/2
o BOSIET / H2S / WELL CONTROL L1
