Civil Engineer

Our client is a major player in the engineering consultancy industry and are seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team in Kamloops, BC. In this role you will gain valuable construction and design engineering experience while working on a variety of land development projects. You will collaborate with other members of the team and work on varying challenging projects, while being supported in this position.

Key Job Duties:
• Collaborate with clients, Indigenous communities, and land developers to carry out their infrastructure projects.
• Offer design assistance including calculations, and modelling for civil works
• Create reports to support projects from viability to detailed design
• Support the preparation of approval, and contract documents
• Conduct field inspections to observe the quality and progress of the work being completed
• Collaborate with team members to guarantee budgets, and quality standards are met

Key Qualifications:
• A degree in Civil Engineering and 4+ years of related experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Construction related experience is preferred
• Registration in good standing as an Professional Engineer in BC
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are an asset
