The Civil Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification, and in line with programme requirements. The role involves coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, monitoring progress, managing documentation, and supporting the overall delivery of the project.
- Initial 12 month Contract
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Progress Management
- Monitor and review construction progress against the programme.
- Identify risks, delays, and bottlenecks, escalating issues where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, clients, and third parties to coordinate interface activities and maintain project momentum.
Drawings & Specifications
- Review drawings and technical specifications, ensuring full understanding of project requirements.
- Verify correct revision control on site and ensure teams are working to the latest approved documents.
- Liaise with designers and contractors regarding changes following NG specifications and design procedures.
- Support the production and verification of as‑built documentation.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct regular site inspections in line with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Sign Inspection Test Certificates (ITCs) where required.
- Identify, record, and raise defects, snags, or non‑conformances to ensure high‑quality delivery.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Actively monitor site safety, ensuring full compliance with RAMS and statutory requirements.
- Perform regular site walkovers to promote safe working practices and identify potential hazards.
- Support a culture of continuous safety improvement.
Temporary Works
- Monitor and review temporary works installations to ensure compliance with approved designs and procedures.
Site Documentation
- Maintain an accurate and detailed site diary capturing daily activities, progress, delays, decisions, visitors, and key events.
Contract & Project Controls
- Understand project contract documentation, Works Information, and key milestones.
- Support project managers with documentation, reporting, and coordination tasks.
- Relevant Degree
- Previous work on electrical substations, power plants, or HVDC converter stations would be an added advantage
