Client is a leading clean‑energy solutions provider focused on accelerating solar adoption across India. Their platform supports end‑to‑end project management—from site assessment and procurement to installation and performance monitoring, ensuring reliability and standardized quality across all projects.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Civil Quality Engineer with strong expertise in solar power project execution. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with quality standards, conduct inspections, and monitor civil construction activities across solar project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality checks for all civil works involved in solar projects, including foundations, inverter rooms, control rooms, cable trenches, and module mounting structures (MMS).
- Inspect and verify materials, workmanship, and construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and QAP.
- Monitor daily site activities and ensure adherence to quality standards and project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain quality inspection reports, test reports, checklists, and NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
- Coordinate with contractors and site teams to resolve quality issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure proper documentation of quality processes, site test results, and calibration records.
- Verify concrete works, compaction, reinforcement, shuttering, and MMS alignment before installation.
- Monitor third-party laboratory tests (soil, concrete, aggregates, etc.).
- Support internal and external audits related to QA/QC compliance.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines during quality inspections.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering processes in solar power projects.
- Familiarity with QAP, ITP (Inspection & Test Plans), and industry quality standards.
- Proficiency in understanding engineering drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience in quality documentation and reporting.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently at remote project sites.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in utility-scale solar EPC projects (1 MW and above).
- Exposure to MMS installation, module alignment, and foundation quality parameters.
- Knowledge of IS standards related to civil works.
