Description
As the Client Representative on-site, on behalf of the client, you will hold overall responsibility for observing, monitoring and reporting on safe offshore operations for the boulder clearance scope at the offshore wind farm.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure offshore work is carried out safely, on time, and in line with RAMS, HSE plans, permits, and project requirements.
- Maintain daily site diary and prepare Daily Progress Reports covering progress, delays, weather, and safety observations.
- Monitor contractor compliance with technical, operational, HSE, and licensing requirements, escalating any non‑compliances or incidents.
- Attend meetings, toolbox talks, and key operations, acting as the Employer’s representative and witnessing activities as needed.
- Communicate regularly with the onshore team and act as the Employer’s Fisheries Liaison onboard.
- Conduct or support HSE inspections, participate in safety walks, and gather information for incidents or investigations.
- Support quality processes through walkdowns, progress checks, and identifying non‑conformances.
- a minimum of 10-years experience of similar services in offshore renewables/ energy infrastructure industry.
- working knowledge of offshore construction contracts with a good understanding of the contractual implications of breakdowns, delays, weather downtime etc.
- profound understanding of offshore operations from a survey or boulder clearance vessel.
- profound understanding of subsea / ROV works including mobilisation and calibration activities.
- experience with Multibeam Echosounder Data (MBES) as part of as left survey data QC.
- the ability to read and understand technical documents and observe (offshore) operations and ensure these are carried out according to the requirements.
- knowledge about industry standards and regulations, including but limited to International Maritime Organization (IMO) & IMCA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Offshore survival training GWO or BOSIET, in line with RWE requirements
- Current valid medical certificate and exams for offshore work according to legal requirements.
- IT proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet) ,GIS Software (QGIS /ARC GIS)
