Our client has been awarded a contract for the design, supply and installation of the 33kV overhead powerline to facilitate Brockman Syncline 1 Expansion for Rio Tinto. 

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rio Tinto inducted Civil Supervisor to oversee and coordinate civil construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. 


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for civil construction works.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage labor resources, materials, and equipment efficiently.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
  • Ensure timely execution of tasks in accordance with project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and workers.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily progress reports.
  • Resolve site-related issues and report any delays or challenges to management.
  • Ensure proper documentation of work progress, inspections, and material usage.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures on-site.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Rio Tinto Inducted
  • Proven experience in a similar role within construction, mining or resources.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office (desirable)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Provide daily direction, instruction, and guidance to the project team to achieve project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with management system to achieve Field Team performance standards for improvement.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent leadership experience and skills in advising and coaching diverse stakeholder groups.
