The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Rio Tinto inducted Civil Supervisor to oversee and coordinate civil construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities for civil construction works.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Manage labor resources, materials, and equipment efficiently.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and plans.
- Ensure timely execution of tasks in accordance with project schedules.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and workers.
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare daily progress reports.
- Resolve site-related issues and report any delays or challenges to management.
- Ensure proper documentation of work progress, inspections, and material usage.
- Enforce company policies and procedures on-site.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience in a similar role within construction, mining or resources.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools and MS Office (desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Provide daily direction, instruction, and guidance to the project team to achieve project goals.
- Ensure compliance with management system to achieve Field Team performance standards for improvement.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership experience and skills in advising and coaching diverse stakeholder groups.
