TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Technical Translator (Spanish & English) role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities
- Translate and interpret technical content (written and verbal) between Spanish and English, including - contracts, procurement documents, and safety procedures, engineering reports, RFIs, and scopes of work
- Provide real-time interpretation for project meetings, site coordination, and vendor/client discussions
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in technical terminology across engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, process)
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and field teams to clarify technical concepts
- Maintain terminology standards and translation consistency using glossaries/tools
- Support document control with formatting, versioning, and quality checks
Qualifications & Skills
- Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
- Proven experience translating technical/engineering documentation in mining, EPCM, or industrial environments
- Strong understanding of engineering and construction terminology
- Experience supporting large capital projects or site-based teams
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in mining, engineering, or construction
- EPCM or owner-side project experience
- Experience supporting Latin American mining projects
