TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Mechanical Services Designer role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.

Key Responsibilities 
 

• Develop and maintain 3D models for mechanical services systems within industrial facilities
• Model systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, dust collection, and related utilities
• Produce 2D drawings from 3D models (plans, sections, details, schematics)
• Coordinate closely with other disciplines (structural, piping, electrical) to ensure integrated design
• Apply project specifications, design standards, and applicable industry codes
• Review and incorporate vendor data, equipment layouts, and design changes into models
• Support design development through multiple project phases (concept, detailed design, execution)
• Participate in model reviews and assist with resolving clashes and design issues

Key Requirements 
 

• Extensive experience as a mechanical designer on industrial or mining facilities 
• Working knowledge and proficiency of Revit and SmartPlant 3D modeling
• Strong understanding of mechanical services systems (HVAC, ventilation, dust collection, plumbing, fire protection
• Familiarity with industrial codes and standards (ASHRAE, ACGIH, NFPA, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
• Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
