For a brownfield project (chemical plant) of our client, an international engineering firm, we are currently recruiting a Construction Coordinator / Construction Manager .

Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is responsible for the complete administration and organization of construction and field personnel, and directs the field effort through the activities of his staff. He reports directly to the PM. The Construction/Site Manager provides Project/contract direction to Site Engineers/Supervisors, HSE personnel, and contractors in the application of the provisions of this plan and associated programs. This position has overall responsibility and accountability for the HSE performance of the Project/contract at a site. Specific responsibilities of the Construction Manager include (a.o):
• Support the Project/Contract Manager and HSE personnel in implementing the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Plan
• Assist in developing the construction schedule.
• Develop the Site Resourcing Plan and mobilize the Construction Management Team.
• Establish Project site facilities.
• Manage and administer site contracts to meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Oversee commercial administration of contracts.
• Ensure overall site performance.
• Set expectations and hold management and suppliers accountable for assurance deliverables and performance metrics.
• Oversee testing and completion of construction, and handover to commissioning/operations.
• Participate in HSE Plan reviews and ensure ongoing suitability and effectiveness
• Ensure all plant, equipment, and PPE are fit for purpose.
• Participate in assurance activities, including HAZID and JHA sessions.
• Ensure adequate resources and competent personnel for HSE objectives.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
• Several years (typically 5-10) of experience in construction management or related roles within FEED-EPC projects in oil&gas, petrochemical, or chemical projects;
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility in managing changing project requirements
• Strong work ethic and commitment to project success.
• This role will require presence on site (Monday-Friday).
• You are currently located in Sweden and have valid working rights.
