Position: Quality Assurance Supervisor – Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA)
Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to support the site quality program on a major construction project in the Boulder, CO area. This role focuses on overseeing and monitoring quality control personnel, conducting surveillance reports, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. While titled as a supervisor, this position is primarily a QA oversight role, with emphasis on documentation review and audits rather than direct team management.
Key Responsibilities

Review project requirements: Become familiar with prime contracts, applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

Conduct surveillance and audits: Monitor construction execution through inspections and planned audits.

Support quality activities: Assist in reviewing and assessing construction quality activities to ensure compliance.

Documentation oversight: Ensure records are completed, signed off, and compiled to support turnover and retention.

Reporting: Provide statistical information for weekly and monthly reporting.

Problem-solving: Analyze issues and recommend solutions in line with project objectives.

Field presence: Spend approximately 10% of time in the field, with 90% focused on documentation review.
Basic Requirements

Technical or Engineering Technology diploma (2–3 years) and 8+ years of related experience, or 10 years of directly related experience without accreditation.

Strong communication skills with diverse audiences (management, clients, contractors, vendors).

Solid technical knowledge relevant to construction QA.

Ability to apply knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations.

Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under time constraints.
Other Requirements
-
Experience with MEGA projects and brownfield/greenfield projects.
-
EPC construction experience not required.
-
Local candidates only (Boulder, Denver, Loveland, Fort Collins areas).

Flexibility to support potential night shifts (e.g., concrete pours).
-
Standard schedule: 5x10s (Monday–Friday, 10 hours/day).

Start date: January (remote onboarding in December possible).
-
No per diem or relocation provisions.
Preferred Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience as a quality inspector.

Certifications from recognized authorities (ASNT, AWS, API, NACE) preferred.

Pharmaceutical project background, especially clean room experience, highly desirable.

Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work well with diverse teams.

Multilingual skills are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $80,000 – $136,000 (final offer based on experience, location, and market conditions).
