Construction Superintendent

TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Superintendent to work for a trusted construction partnering client in Vancouver, BC, offering extensive awards and competitive benefits packages. Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with management team, including subcontractors and Project Manager to maintain construction schedule in a timely manner, as well as identify and resolve issues effectively
• Ensure projects are carried out in accordance with proposed drawings, project schedules and specifications
• Coordinate and supervise all onsite construction activities
• Train and supervise project personnel
• Establish and maintain positive relationship with stakeholders
• Coordinate weekly subcontractor meetings
• Review and update schedule, cash flow and cost forecast with Project Manager
• Ensure all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture
• Maintain appropriate field documentation including progress reports, rental records etc.

Key Requirements:
• At least 5+ years of previous working experience in related fields specifically focusing on commercial and residential projects
• Working knowledge in all aspects of construction related processes including trade agreements, cost control, technology and engineering, equipment and safety requirements
• Technical diploma or equivalent combination of related training and experience
• Previous supervisory or construction experience working with on the mechanical aspects of the building projects
• Excellent communication skills, relationship and team building skills
• Proven creative problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge in MS Office Suites is an asset
