The company has the ambition to become a global processing company converting (non-recyclable) waste into valuable chemical building blocks and advanced biofuels.
You will be a part of the Project Development department. Your role involves establishing and maintaining a full working knowledge of projects, their scope of work, capital cost development, status and the relevant commercial/contract conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all project control reports are produced on time and to standards.
- Prepare overall monthly project status reports for Business and Operations Management including departmental KPIs (e,g, actual cost versus budget).
- Attend Project Reviews as required.
- Support the development of Sales proposals by compiling required effort and forecasting actual cost.
- Implement control budgets for contracted work in collaboration with Finance team. Report on progress against budget and prepare forecasts.
- Support Finance team with the development of project cash flows.
- Take an overall forward looking and balanced view of cost, schedule and commercial performance of projects and identify trends and potential problem areas in order that remedial actions can be addressed early by project teams.
- Establish all-inclusive project capital cost estimates and budgets, and regularly status these.
- Track cost indices for raw materials and labour and maintain up to date reference file.
- Maintain engineering, procurement and construction norms and benchmarks and measure productivity.
- Establish annual company operational budgets, and regularly status these.
- Prepare and manage risk and opportunity analysis for projects.
- Ensure Cost and Programme Analysis of completed Projects is carried out and recorded to establish actual performance statistics for future Estimates.
- Maintain lessons learned database and track continuous improvement in project delivery.
- Manage department data and information in accordance with company standards.
- Implement company procedures, practices in all assigned areas of responsibility.
Requested:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar functions.
- Practical experience to develop conceptual and feasibility capital estimates.
- Familiarity with AACE cost estimation standards.
- Having experience and understanding of project management systems and tools. Knowledge of PowerBI is an advantage.
- English language is required. Dutch is an advantage.
