Our client, a leader in offshore wind is currently hiring a Cost Controller to be based in London or Swindon, and support one of their biggest offshore wind projects in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the preparation, maintenance, and regular update of project cost forecasts and cash flow profiles from investment decision through to project completion.
  • Monitor and analyse the cost impact of scope changes and change requests, working closely with Project Management and Finance teams to communicate financial implications.
  • Support cost control and forecasting activities for assigned project packages, ensuring alignment with approved budgets, schedules, and risk assumptions.
  • Assist with monthly financial controlling cycles, including accrual preparation, cost analysis, and variance reporting against budget and forecast.
  • Support the preparation of monthly actuals reporting, including reconciliation between cash movements and accounting positions.
  • Support project financing activities, including debt and equity drawdowns, monitoring of project bank accounts, and ensuring invoices are processed in line with funding availability and approvals.
  • Assist with the preparation of valuation inputs and supporting documentation for OFTO asset divestment, and support engagement with Ofgem during regulated cost assessment and audit processes.
  • Act as an interface between Project Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams, supporting cost tracking, contractor claim verification, and effective stakeholder communication

Key Requirements
  • Experience in project finance, cost control, financial analysis, or project controls within infrastructure, energy, construction, or engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
  • Ability to analyse financial data, manage cost tracking, and report variances effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across Finance, Commercial, and Project Delivery teams.
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; professional qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are advantageous.
Experience within the energy, utilities, or offshore wind sector is desirable.

This is a long-term contract position, outside IR35, starting in September. Right to work in UK must be already in place.
