FUNCTION: IN COUNTRY MANAGER
DISCIPLINE: ENGINEERING AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: MALABO, EQUATORIAL GUINEA
DURATION: PERMANENT
SALARY: MARKET RELATED

“TRS is urgently looking for an In Country Manager responsible for the Management of Client Contracts (Steady State Contractors and Third-Party Vendor (TPV) projects), new and existing business with Oil and Gas Clients based in Malabo, EQUATORIAL GUINEA.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee the management & execution of client contracts, building and improving on our reputation for delivering best practice, providing best personnel & the highest standard of service to our clients.
• Attend and usefully contribute to Client safety & security meetings as required.
• Maintain open, effective and constant communication with Client management. First point of contact on all matters concerning contractor personnel and operations in country.
• Carry out regular visits to Client offshore installations as required. Such offshore visits will include face-to-face meetings and liaison with client management as well as personal contact with contractors on board. Action any matters arising without delay.
• Prepare and execute detailed handover to b2b ICM in readiness for rotational leave periods.
• Communicate with Regional Manager and Aberdeen head office as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Engineering Degree with good educational standard & technical knowledge or qualification in an Engineering subject desirable with knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 15-20 years of relevant In Country Management experience within Petrochemical and Oil and Gas Industries.
• Up to date BOSIET Certificate.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Business development skills to win new contracts & extend current work-scopes.
• Knowledge of proper business administration procedures & systems adapted for the location. Knowledgeable in all aspects of Quality, Safety & Competency.
• Personal Taxation in EG: All taxes are paid in EG on behalf of the employee. There is a likelihood that some/all of this tax paid can be used to offset home country taxes (This can be a significant benefit)
• Rotation 8/4 inclusive of any quarantine/handover requirement.
• Travel class: Economy Class travel
• Accommodation: Separate accommodation within the (private/detached) office building – groceries paid by the Company (no cigarettes/alcohol) to a reasonable spend level.
