Summary
My client is capitalizing on a surge of industry interest in decarbonization technologies. This includes, but not limited to, carbon capture and sequestration, renewable fuels and hydrogen generation. The Technology team is seeking an individual with technical expertise in the integration of electrolyzer technologies, as they pertain to hydrogen generation, for both brownfield and greenfield installations throughout North America.
Responsibilities
• Involvement with a global network of Technology experts, operating under Client’s Office of Technology.
• External engagements with existing and prospective clients, specifically those that are seeking electrolyzer-based technology as a means of satisfying future hydrogen needs.
• Understanding client needs and business drivers pertaining to hydrogen generation, effective proposal writing, presentation skills and overall business acumen are requirements of this role. This also includes demonstrated experience in leading business development pursuits through a Technology lens.
• Acting as a senior representative and hydrogen expert for Client’s Canadian operations.
• Networking throughout a pre-existing group of industry colleagues within the electrolyzer / hydrogen generation arena, at industry events, conferences, webinars, podcasts, etc.
• The role may also involve leading other engineers in executing project assignments and may oversee several teams of engineers. This may include overseeing the design of several process areas or units to develop drawings and specifications for Feasibility Studies, Front End Engineering Development (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) for these units/systems.
• Propose / develop cost-effective work processes.
Qualifications
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and twenty (20) years of work-related experience.
• Project-specific experience in the balance-of-plant requirements and integration of electrolyzers for the purpose of hydrogen production.
• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility for registration preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to executive management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job, as noted above.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
