Director, Quality & Environmental

Our client, a leading rail developer, is seeking a passionate Director of Quality & Environmental to join their growing team in Toronto, Ont for a massive LRT project.

Here is an exciting opportunity to join an international leader that develops rail and light rail transit infrastructure. It features 7 management direct reports and would be reporting to the Project Director.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System across the project;
- Ensure the project has the qualified Quality/Environmental professionals needed to successfully design/construct our client’s LRT project;
- Provide reports to the Quality/Environmental progress reports to the Contracting Authority & MTC;
- Establish Quality and Environmental working groups with key project stakeholders;
- Develop & implement the Environmental Management Systems and Environmental Management Plans;
- Coordinate audits of the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001:2015;
- Implement the client’s tracking system;

Qualifications:
- 15+ years’ experience in transportation infrastructure construction;
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification preferred, may consider variants;
- Degree or Diploma in a related engineering field;
- P.Eng / OACETT certification is an asset;
- Road construction designation is preferred;
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation also preferred;
- Excellent communication & leadership skills;
