Position: Traveling Superintendent
Location: Southeast Region  
Compensation: $120,000–$170,000 Annually

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations for heavy civil and infrastructure projects across the Southeast. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to safety, quality, and team success.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate project updates clearly and promptly to all relevant stakeholders.
• Understand project scope and proactively identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and execute detailed project work plans aligned with overall goals.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and meets quality standards the first time.
• Lead daily planning sessions to prepare crews for successful execution.
• Review timesheets and use quantity logs to verify labor and production accuracy.
• Maintain and update a two-week lookahead schedule in alignment with the master schedule.
• Track project progress through daily reports, job photos, and labor hour reviews.
• Align manpower and equipment for maximum efficiency and productivity.
• Foster development opportunities for field personnel and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Safeguard company and rental equipment, ensuring proper use and maintenance.
• Report all incidents, near misses, rework, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Maintain strong client relationships through consistent engagement and professionalism.

• Required:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Southeast
  • Participation in pre-employment and random drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check
• Preferred:
  • Experience in heavy civil, roadwork, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Familiarity with construction planning and scheduling tools
