Our client is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Document Controller to join their dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of project documentation to ensure compliance with company, client, and industry standards. This position is based in the Northern Cape.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all project documents to ensure they are properly stored, maintained, and easily accessible.
  • Implement and maintain an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
  • Track and control all incoming and outgoing project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
  • Ensure document control procedures comply with internal standards and client requirements.
  • Maintain version control and document history for audit and traceability.
  • Support project teams with document numbering, formatting, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and EPCM partners to ensure timely document submissions.
  • Prepare document control reports and statistics.
  • Conduct audits to ensure adherence to document control procedures.
  • Implement hard copy archiving systems and records retention schedules.
  • Maintain an inventory of records and ensure secure storage of sensitive information.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in Records Management or Library Management (advantageous).
  • 3+ years in document control and project administration.
  • At least 1 year in a mining or engineering project environment.
