Role Summary
We are developing large-scale solar, wind, and solar-wind hybrid projects across India. We are looking for an experienced Civil professional with strong site execution and management expertise in EHV Transmission Lines and Pooling Substations. The role involves hands-on site leadership, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of civil works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Site Manager for civil works, coordinating with local subcontractors for foundation, RCC, structural, road, drainage, and building works.
  • Ensure quality and progress monitoring, including daily logs, photographs, DPRs, and joint measurements.
  • Monitor construction progress, material delivery, and ensure proper material storage and handling.
  • Spend 70% of time at site, working in challenging field conditions as required.
  • Coordinate between site and Head Office to implement project execution strategies and site management methodologies.
  • Manage site administration including construction power, water, accommodation, logistics, and site facilities.
  • Interpret and execute civil drawings related to EHV projects
  • Supervise and manage skilled & unskilled manpower and third-party supervisors.
  • Implement project schedules in line with PM plans and timelines.
  • Take site-level decisions ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate machinery deployment (cranes, batching plants, excavators, piling rigs, etc.) and manage related documentation.
  • Manage contractors’ teams and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections, maintain DPRs, verify joint measurement sheets, and track milestones.
  • Coordinate with contractors and resolve site execution challenges.
  • Handle ROW (Right of Way) and site-level civil issues related to EHV transmission works on an end-to-end basis.
Technical Expertise
  • Strong experience in civil construction of EHV substations and transmission lines (up to 220kV).
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Leadership skills to manage site teams and contractors effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Good communication skills in English and Hindi for coordination with contractors, utilities, and engineers.
  • Willingness to work at project sites across Indian states.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in civil execution
  • Experience across multiple Indian states preferred.
  • Diploma holders should have 10+ years of experience.
  • Exposure to renewable energy projects (Solar / Wind / Hybrid) is an added advantage.
  • Ability to manage a multi-vendor, multi-cultural workforce in dynamic site conditions.
