Will report to the Construction Manager and will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to GC Field supervision for construction and installation activities. This position will extensively communicate daily with the Construction Manager, Quality Manager, engineering team, and general contractors.
Responsibilities
• Interact with electrical engineers and staff members to identify define and resolve developmental issues.
• Support Field supervision in establishing requirements for manpower, tools, equipment and material to perform their assigned tasks.
• Provide technical oversite and quality reviews to the electrical superintendent.
• Ensure field installation is conducted to current design drawings and specifications.
• Review installation work packages to support scope of work to align with the project schedule.
• Review field material takeoffs from IFC drawings.
• Review engineering as well as vendor needed electrical installation and test procedures.
• Track materials installation required to align with the schedule.
• Quantity tracking
• Inspect permanent plant components through the receiving process to ensure project drawings and standards are attained.
• Confirm preventative maintenance activities are being tracked and conducted.
• Conduct electrical progress work inspections on a continuous basis.
• Ensure quality and compliance to parameters and codes.
• Coordinate with Senior Electrical engineers to resolve drawing issues and set-route problems.
• Support technical coordination of system lock out tag out procedures.
• Verify quality documentation per inspection test plan.
• Complete system walk down along with Quality and GC.
• Assist in deviation investigation and resolution of problems and issues encountered during field execution activities
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, a technology discipline, or related field is prefer ed. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered with demonstrable experience in operations, engineering maintenance, project management, and leadership
• Ability to perform task such as lifting, walking uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, scaffolding working on elevated platforms.
• Knowledge of local and national safety codes, requirements and standards.
• Working knowledge and experience with plant maintenance systems
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy
• Professional, honest and maintains a high level of integrity
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, required
• Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
