Client headquartered in Singapore work with investors, IPPs, developers, EPC players, and manufacturers in making significant and long-lasting improvements to their products and processes. Team has over ten years of experience within the renewable energy field, including the areas of solar PV technology production, manufacturing, quality assessment and systems deployment.
Responsibilities.
Responsible for leading a site team of engineers and responsible for office coordination for site quality inspection of activities and part of temporary deputation. Involve in hiring process and technical screening of candidate as per client requirement. Engage with hiring resources for present requirements. You would be overseeing the quality & monitoring of various erection, testing and commissioning of electrical items & equipment on behalf of clients.
Roles
- Understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and solar PV components to support site execution and technical coordination.
- Interact with clients to understand their requirements, resolve queries, and ensure timely updates on project progress.
- Assign and monitor daily tasks, provide necessary guidance, and ensure smooth execution of routine activities at site.
- Prepare, maintain, and update quality documents, checklists, and records as per project and client requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, presentations, and material consumption logs using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Maintain clear and professional communication with stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination and timely response.
- Draft and respond to official emails, prepare technical correspondence, and handle project documentation efficiently
- Coordinate with management and procurement teams for Purchase Orders issuance, validation, and tracking.
- Having good experience in solar PV projects sites electrical equipment & items, erection, testing & commissioning as a SFQP.
- Having experience in Transformer erection, HT & LT cable laying, AC activities, DC activities, Switchyard, various capacity panel installation, testing, and other items & equipment as applicable and knowledge of relevant IS / IEC codes applicable.
- Knowledge of ISO 2859, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 1400
- Lead QAQC team for all electrical activities at project site. Basic knowledge of IS and IEC standard for electrical erection, testing and commissioning.
- Knowledge of IS Code: 2026, IS Code: 2705, IS Code: 3156, IS Code: 9921, IS Code: 13118, IS Code: 3070, IS Code: 1255, IEC Code: 62271, IEC Code: 60225, IEC Code: 62109 etc.
- Raising FOM and NCR to vendors for deviation and provide optimum resolution.
- Coordinate with OEM for defects of materials.
- Attend RFI and witness testing procedures.
- Provide training sessions to workers to maintain quality standards.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s / Diploma degree in engineering (Electrical / Electronics) / sciences.
- Experience of working in quality would be a plus.
- Must have experience in Solar PV Projects.
- More than 5 (7 for Diploma) years of progressive experience in the quality projects in Renewable Sector.
Skills
- Proficiency with civil work, electrical equipment drawings, layouts, GTP & QAP.
- Familiarity with applicable IS / IEC codes.
