TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Engineering Manager role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry. 

Responsibilities:
 

• Participate in design reviews and consult with construction and operations personnel to embed safety, operability, and ease‑of‑maintenance into all engineering outcomes.
• Collaborate with discipline managers to ensure engineering teams are staffed appropriately with individuals who have the right technical and field experience.
• Drive the development of efficient facility layouts with a strong focus on constructability, operational effectiveness, and long‑term cost performance.
• Monitor engineering progress to ensure deliverables meet project expectations, quality standards, schedule commitments, and budget parameters.
• Oversee the design integration of multiple engineering disciplines involved in constructing support facilities.
• Contribute to project execution planning and support other tasks related to engineering management as required.
• Serve as the primary engineering lead for assigned site‑infrastructure scopes, coordinating seamlessly with project controls, construction, procurement, and operational stakeholders.
• Work closely with stakeholders to define functional requirements and transform them into practical, fit‑for‑purpose design criteria.
• Preform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications
 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent) plus 16+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Professional engineering designation or eligibility is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing the engineering scope on major mining or heavy‑industrial projects.
• Experience in schedule planning, progress reporting, engineering coordination, and project closeout.
• Strong understanding of the design, development, or construction of site‑service buildings and industrial support facilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with management, field teams, clients, contractors, and technical specialists.
• Proficiency with standard business and engineering software tools.
• Practical field experience and a solid foundation in project execution from early concept development through commissioning.
