About the role
TRS Staffing is currently searching for a Senior Project Engineer to join our esteemed clients team based in Adelaide. This position is a FIFO Monday to Friday roster and home at weekends unless you are Adelaide based.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of a specific project package from design through to commissioning and handover
- Manage contractors and suppliers to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
- Oversee technical scopes, specifications, and tender documentation
- Monitor progress, costs, risks, and report accurately to the Project Delivery Manager
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and interfaces with live port operations
- Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Support commissioning and smooth integration of new assets into operations
Skills and experience required
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 7-10+ years’ experience in project or construction management within heavy industry
- Strong contractor, package, and interface management experience
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and project reporting
- Solid understanding of engineering standards, safety, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
