TRS is seeking an experienced Material Demand Planning Specialist for a DIRECT HIRE position in Duncan, SC!
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field
- Required 5+ years’ experience working with ERP and MRP systems in a manufacturing environment implementing and designing work flow processes
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Charts, Formulas, Macros).
- Strong organizational and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, provide follow up, and shift priorities as needed while working on multiple programs concurrently.
- The ability to work both independently and lead in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.
- The ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects within the supply chain.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintains the item master in ERP
- Enter bills of material (after release from Engineering) into ERP system, and build complex assembly jobs for manufacturing
- Update jobs as needed per Engineering Change Order approval
- Participates in configuration change control boards, to make sure all sustainment impacts are known before the engineering change is approved.
- Reviews, evaluates and approves MRP requirements and inventory transfers to ensure project and production requirements are met.
- Reviews cycle count results and resolves inventory discrepancies.
- Analyzes and resolves routine and non-routine obsolete and excess inventory issues.
- Reviews and analyzes ABC codes and order policies of parts.
- Reviews, analyzes, and resolves conflicts in supply and demand, and investigates as required. Presents findings and recommended solutions to management.
- Develops reports and procedures for inventory monitoring and control. Coordinates with IT in developing inventory data collection reports.
- Maintains, implements and assists in the development of inventory control programs to ensure project(s) and production requirements are met on time and within budget.
- Reviews and evaluates inventory control policy and procedures, and makes recommendations for changes.
- Updates inventory control policy as needed and approved by Supply Chain Manager.
- Analyzes and maintains sufficient inventory levels to meet production, while maintaining inventory level in accordance with management guidelines.
- Analyzes cycles count results and investigates discrepancies outside the specific tolerances.
- Reviews and analyzes inventory issues and receipts transactions and safety stock requirements. Determines what potential impact engineer changes will have on spare levels.
- Analyzes and processes inventory write off of inventory obsolescence.
- Coordinates annual physical inventory with the Supply Chain Manager.
- Inputs and maintains Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters into Systems Applications and Products (Sytline), including material master data
- Extracts system data for processing and analysis using various transaction codes and reports.
- Review discrepant conditions and/or exceptions and determines corrective action - Initiates the resolution of receiving discrepancies and decides on correction action(s)
- Releases valid orders and corrects scheduling/ordering deficiencies as required.
- Monitors project planning changes resulting in impacts to material requirements, determines the appropriate action(s) to ensure material availability, and completes the action(s) in a timely manner.
- Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and outside services work orders.
- Provides timely status to management regarding the status of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain stake-holders including Procurement and Operations Management to determine an appropriate time phase plan for procured parts, and executes processes to ensure that deliverables meet production schedule requirements.
- Support inter-departmental collaboration efforts with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Engineering and Inventory Control to resolve issues in the manufacturing process and align strategy.
