Facilities and Site Services Planner

In this very exciting role, the qualified individual will support the project by creating scopes of work for any facility modifications, develop design concepts, and monitors contractors activies for facility installation. Some duties include developing schedules for other Site Services departments, ensuring project priorities for safety are accurately conveyed to the Site Services Management Team and supporting the SWS department with all scopes of work as needed.

Job duties:
- Provides backshift support to Temporary Facilities Lead and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
- Coordinates labour, materials and other resources to carry out construction activities in accordance with plans and specifications
- Schedule and allocate required work to contractors to meet priorities
- Coordinates with other site construction groups and manages any interface issues to support work as required
- Reports daily activities, reviews and approves contractor daily reports and LEMS
- Manages site laydown and land use process, reviewing land use requests for conflicts with existing land use agreements and finding alternate solutions if required.

Qualifications:
- FMP certification or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 years of practical experience with project planning
- Proficient with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project
- Experience with construction, technical, and engineering activities on large scale projects
