The client is a leading infrastructure organization in India, specializing in end‑to‑end turnkey Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solutions. With a strong legacy under the Jakson Group, the Job client has delivered high‑impact projects across Power Transmission, Power Distribution, Metro Electrification, Water Infrastructure, and Civil Infrastructure. Known for engineering excellence and a commitment to nation‑building, the client executes complex infrastructure developments for government, private, and international clients. Their marquee work includes projects under Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL), the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), and major Metro Electrification projects in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Chennai.
Role Overview:
Field Chief Quality Lead is heading the Quality function at CMRL Project site and responsible for driving complete Quality Assurance system & processes at project site. Prepare / Review the Field Quality Plan & Quality Procedures, Method Statements, ITP, checklist and formats for implementation. Perform site visits, store visits and quality inspection/audit at site. Coordinate with client for Quality document approval, inspections, issues resolution etc… Maintain Quality NCR & observations at site and follow up with team for timely & proper closure. Manage team of Quality Engineers / Dy. Managers at site to implement various quality processes, contractual requirements and monitor the quality of work at site. Cross Functional coordination & Contractor coordinator to maintain “First Time Right” Quality work at site. Perform material inspections / assign Quality Engineer to perform material inspections at Factory & at site as per Specification, Standard and ITPs.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop / Review the Field Quality Plan, Processes, Procedures, Method Statements, ITP, checklists & formats
- Ensure the effective implementation of FQP and various Quality processes
- Client Coordination and internal cross functional coordination
- Perform material inspection / assign Quality Engineer to perform material inspections at factory & at site as per Specification, Standards & ITPS.
- Site visit / Site Audits & identify the quality lapses and improve the quality of work at site
- Manae & monitor the Quality Engineers performance at site
- Monitor the Tracker sheets of Quality NCRs, Observations & Client NCRs/observations
- Monitor & closure of Quality NCRs & Observations
- Train the site Engineers to improve the awareness on Quality requirements
- Trouble shooting Quality issues at site
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical with overall 15 years of experience and at least 10 years in Metro Project Quality (MEP – Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) experience.
- Similar position approval from Metro Project is must.
- Applicable Field Quality experience in Metro Projects is must. Quality positions approval evidence from Metro client is must.
- Should have experience in preparation / review of FQP, Procedures, Method Statements, ITP and formats and ISO Certification audits
- Should have knowledge in IS / IEC and applicable International Codes & Standards
- Knowledge in Quality analytical tools and use of it.
