Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and TUV-certified Functional Safety Engineer to oversee and approve the development of functional safety documentation and logic for a critical automation project. This role requires deep expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and a strong background in process control logic and PLC functional design documentation.

You will work closely with our system integrator, providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with functional safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, direct, and approve functional safety documentation and logic created by the system integrator.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, IEC 62061, ISO 13849).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate safety requirements and system architecture.
• Conduct safety assessments and provide expert guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
• Travel to Slovenia as needed to work directly with the control system integrator.

Required Qualifications:

• TUV Functional Safety Certification (essential).
• Proven expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs and associated safety systems.
• Strong experience in process control logic and PLC functional design documentation.
