“TRS is looking for experienced degreed General Manager – Corporate Services with extensive Petrochemical and Oil & Gas as well as Port Industry experience for upcoming projects within the next six (6) months. “

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The General Manager, Corporate Services will oversee and provide strategic direction for the company, decision making and operations which includes developing and implementing the systems, processes and infrastructures required to support the growth and future of the company.
• The GM, Corporate Services responsibility would be to understand and contribute to building the strategic direction of company in addition to being a hands-on, lead and develop the internal team.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
• Provide human resource management services, legal services, special programmes, communication services, departmental planning and programme management.
• Coordinate a strategic planning cycle, strategic and business plans
• Report on organizational performance and support systems, quarterly and annually.
• Minimize risk to the Department by ensuring the existence of effective internal controls and support systems.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Chief Directorate.
• Develop and review policies and procedures in order to continually improve internal support in the Department.
• Develop and implement efficient reporting systems to ensure optimal internal decision-making for Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a Senior Management position.
• Strong and independent leadership, organizing and managerial skills.
• Innovative, analytical as well as interpersonal and conflict-handling skills.
• High-level skills in planning, budgeting and human resource management.
• High-level communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Public Service and applicable legislative as well as regulatory frameworks.
• Functional knowledge of policy development.
