Goods Receiving Inspector

Manufacturer is seeking a Goods Receiving Inspector for a contract role to be based in Pueblo, Colorado. The contract is expected to last 1-2 years. Prefer a local candidate for the role.

Will report to the Procurement Contract Manager. The expected OEM quantity of Trucks /Shipping Containers may exceed 1000 units. Will be responsible for reporting and maintaining data to help manage incoming inventory and improving the process as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs receiving inspection on incoming goods for quality and accuracy
• Proven ability to joint-receive and free-issue OEM and other equipment to General Contractor
• Completes receiving reports & warehouse logs
• Creates & Maintains OS&D reports
• Validates shipping tickets
• Updates material status reports
• Tracks returned items
• Works closely with Expediting/Logistics to ensure material is on schedule
• Works closely with General Contractor to resolve any issues / discrepancies that arise
• Ensure truck carriers have proper PPE and adhere to yard safety policies
• Maintains all aspects of work place cleanliness and organization on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in goods receiving
• Strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Solid knowledge of materials management to include laydown grid systems, RFID tagging, and inventory management
• Field assignment capable of working in what can be challenging, and harsh working conditions
• Ability to work on site 50+ hours weekly
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high degree of accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, required
• Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
