Role Overview – Heritage Lead

The Heritage Lead is responsible for proactively engaging on and providing expert advice regarding cultural and historic heritage matters for the Kwinana Bulk Terminal (KBT) Project within the Major Projects team. The role ensures heritage approvals, compliance activities, and engagement processes support the continuity of operational requirements across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of cultural heritage requirements.
• Demonstrated working knowledge and application of relevant legislation in relation to Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title within Western Australia.
• Knowledge and experience in state heritage approvals processes.
• Minimum 5 years in a heritage approvals landscape.

Skills 

• Experience with cultural and historic maritime heritage matters
• Experience with Aboriginal engagement and ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with Traditional Owners.
• Possession of, or progress towards, a relevant tertiary qualification (i.e., History, Architecture, Anthropology, Planning, Surveying or Archaeology)
