Job Title: HR Specialist I
Location: Detroit, MI
Industry: Construction/Infrastructure
Status of Hire: contract, full time
Contract Duration: 12 months’
Pay: $55k-$60k

Job Description Summary
This position conducts work directly related to management or general business operations in an organization or functional area, specifically talent acquisition and recruitment. The work requires advanced knowledge gained from a prolonged course of specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The position includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.

Scope
This position supports project staffing and recruitment activities for a multiparter joint venture.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Maintain general knowledge of applicant submissions and update internal tracker with status for each applicant
o Requires working with recruiting teams from each joint venture partner
o General knowledge of partner ATS

• Work with site managers on status of applicants
o Resumes reviewed
o Feedback to JV Partner Recruiting Teams
o Manage Interview Process
 scheduling of interviews
 coordination with applicants, hiring managers and HR teams, as appropriate
• Expeditor for all TA activities
o Track incoming resumes and update project tracker
o Follow up with hiring managers on applicant status
 Accepted, rejected and why, to ensure disposition reason and feedback is provided to recruiters
 Ensure interviews are scheduled timely, take place as scheduled and provide feedback to HR and Recruiting teams on status of interviews
• Ensure JV partner positions are posted/advertised via job boards
• General administrative and HR duties, as required
• Other duties as assigned
