HSE Engineer

The HSE Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, coordinating and managing the HSE activities on offshore (oil and gas) tenders and projects. Based on a thorough knowledge and understanding on (inter)national Safety Codes and best practices you supply the operating offshore assets with clear and practical advice. You will support the organization in developing and implementation of elements of Process Safety.

You will lead incident investigations and HSEQ audits when required (on site, offshore or at client).

Furthermore you will keep knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and share this within the department. You will use and maintain corporate standards, develop and propose possible improvements. In this position you will report to the department Head and/or project management. You will be located in the Amsterdam area.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in a Technical discipline
5 years of experience in offshore and/or oil and gas industry environment
Knowledge of relevant HSE tools
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Experience in auditing and understanding and knowledge of UK legislation
