We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Lead to join our team for a significant project in the Rotterdam area. This project involves the construction and development of advanced facilities aimed at enhancing sustainable energy production. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance are met throughout the project's lifecycle.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all HSE activities on-site, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and programs to promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Provide HSE training and support to project staff and contractors, fostering a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Prepare and present HSE reports and documentation to senior management and regulatory authorities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction or energy sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing HSE programs on large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
