Position: Human Resources Director
Location: Murrells Inlet, SC (Greater Myrtle Beach Area)
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000 annually
Benefits: Full Benefits Package | Paid Time Off | 401(k)

The Human Resources Director will lead the strategic HR vision aligned with our mission to deliver an unparalleled customer experience and leave a lasting legacy in the communities in which we work. This role ensures effective management of all aspects of HR operations including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, professional development, and organizational culture initiatives. The successful candidate will embody our core values at all times.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives
  • Develop and implement comprehensive people strategies that support our growth and scale initiatives
  • Create and maintain a robust leadership pipeline through succession planning
  • Foster a culture that promotes diversity of thought and perspective
Talent Management
  • Oversee talent acquisition strategies to attract, source, and hire top talent
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives that connect our people to our mission, vision, and purpose
  • Match talent to task through engagement and delegation
  • Develop organizational depth by identifying and mentoring successors through stretch assignments and promotions
  • Expand recruiting efforts to diversify the backgrounds and perspectives of our people
Total Rewards
  • Design, develop, and manage comprehensive compensation programs
  • Oversee benefits strategy and programs that align with organizational objectives and cultural philosophies
  • Analyze and evolve all of our rewards programs with effective communication strategies
     
  • Conduct enterprise-wide market equity analysis, including position description maintenance
  • Create and manage innovative recognition and rewards programs
HR Operations
  • Lead the administration of staff and organizational changes
  • Oversee HR compliance reporting and risk management
  • Manage HR information systems and technology integrations
  • Direct the creation and management of data tracking tools and analytics reporting
  • Administer HR team budget and resources effectively
 Employee Relations & Culture
  • Promote strategic narrative, culture, and brand promise
  • Develop and adopt a customer care approach that enhances our culture of service
  • Engage associates through volunteerism and sustainability efforts to community activism
  • Cultivate a culture of care and open communication
  • Foster innovation and smart risk-taking throughout the organization
Safety & Wellbeing
  • Partner with safety leaders to promote a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility
  • Support programs that safeguard families by identifying and resolving hazards
  • Leverage technology to assess safety performance
  • Ensure HR programs support the holistic wellbeing of all employees
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in the construction or professional services industry
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing HR teams
  • Advanced knowledge of US employment laws, benefits administration, and compensation practices
  • Experience with HRIS platforms and HR analytics
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect HR strategies to business outcomes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desired
Additional Requirements
  • Physical Demands: The role entails physical activities such as sitting, walking, navigating uneven terrain, using hands and fingers to handle equipment and files, reaching, driving, bending, talking, seeing, and hearing. The ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally is required.   • Work Environment: The work environment is primarily office-based but necessitates frequent visits to construction sites, which may involve exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures.   • Language Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, compose detailed correspondence, and effectively present information to individuals and groups.
  • Computer Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint, along with the ability to engage in remote communication and collaboration through platforms like Zoom or Teams.
  • Mathematical Aptitude: Capability to perform basic mathematical operations, compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and interpret graphical data.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Essential Function Certificates and Licenses: A valid driver's license is mandatory.
