Inspector

TRS Staffing Solutions is looking for an Inspector in the Amsterdam area. You will work on an oil & gas project for the duration of 6 months.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Is responsible for inspections in accordance with approved Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s) and according to the required level of quality.
• Prepares/issues kick off meetings agendas and attends kick off meetings.
• Checks inspection work files for completeness.
• Reviews progress status at suppliers and document approval status, during stage inspections.
• Issues and closes-out Non conformance Reports (NCRs) and punch lists where required.
• Reports all findings at the supplier with a “close-out call” to the Expeditor and/or responsible engineer.
• Issues after each inspection visit a detailed Inspection Report.
• Liaises with the assigned certifying authority (CA) surveyors.
• Authorises release of equipment/material by issuance of a Release Note (RN), in conjunction with the certifying authority (CA) surveyor (when applicable).
• Issues Inspection waivers in conjunction with and approved by the responsible Project Engineer.
• Keeps knowledge and procedures up-to-date on all relevant aspects and shares this within the section.
• Reports regularly to the Lead Inspection & Quality Control on personal achievements and section matters.
• Correctly administrates work.
• Uses and maintains corporate standards. Develops and proposes improvements.

Requirements

• Technical College.
• Over 5 years of experience in inspection within the offshore or oil and gas industry.
• English good, verbally as well as in writing.
• Computer literacy for MS Office.
• NDE levels II or equivalent.
