Instrument & Control Engineer

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities 

Reporting to the IC&E Lead, you will support technical compliance to the BP Engineering Technical Practices for the Kwinana Renewable Fuels Project. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide expert knowledge to existing new project developments to ensure compliance with Instrument & Control discipline Engineering related to corporate, legislative, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide recommendations to the project to balance the technical requirements of the instrumentation & control discipline in a pragmatic and risk-based manner.
• Support key project activities (Design review, HAZOP, LOPA, FAT, IFAT, SAT) and management of change (MOC) processes.
• Support the multidisciplinary Engineering team with Instrument & Control related queries.
• Align and provide direction to Engineering contractors with respect to Instrument & Control discipline technical requirements.

Requirements 

• Demonstrated experience in an Instrument & Control engineering position within the oil and gas industry.
• Good understanding of oil and gas industry technical practices and standards 
• Experience in key major projects activities (Design Review, HAZOP, LOPA, FAT)
• A wealth of knowledge in BMS (Burner Management Systems) and Fire & Gas protection Systems
• The ability for collaborative engagement of functional groups and other stakeholders to achieve the project goals.
