TRS is thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity to collaborate with a leading oil and gas technology licensor. Our client specializes in delivering comprehensive solutions across various domains, including:

  1. Fuel Conversion: Transforming oil and biomass into cleaner fuels.
  2. Petrochemical Production: Creating and purifying major petrochemical intermediates.
  3. Plastics Recycling: Innovating chemical recycling methods for plastics.
  4. Natural Gas Treatment: Enhancing natural gas processing techniques.
  5. Carbon Capture: Developing solutions for carbon capture and utilization.

Their diverse portfolio encompasses cutting-edge technologies, equipment, furnaces, modular units, catalysts, adsorbents, and related services. 

 

Role Overview: Instrumentation Engineer

  • Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering from a recognized university
  • Experience: 7-9 years (preferably with more than 6 years in Refining and Petrochemical Projects)

Functional Competencies:

  1. Datasheets and Specifications: Prepare and review datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, and vendor documents for field instruments (e.g., Control Valves, ON-OFF valves, Safety relief valves, Flow meters, Transmitters, Analyzers, Flame scanners, MMS instruments).
  2. Local Control Panels and Cables: Review material requisitions and vendor documents for local control panels, junction boxes, cables, cable glands, and related accessories.
  3. PLC System: Prepare and review material requisitions, specifications, and vendor documents for PLC systems. Develop complex loops and logic based on cause-and-effect diagrams and functional analysis.
  4. Engineering Deliverables: Review engineering deliverables, including Instrument Index, IO list, JB Schedule, Cable schedule, MTO, JB Drawings, Process Hookups, Pneumatic Hookups, Loop Diagrams, Instrument Location Layouts, and Instrument Cable Routing Layouts.
  5. Hands-On Experience: Proficient in control valves, orifice plates, and thermowells sizing/calculations.
  6. International Standards: Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g., API, ISA, IEC, ISO).
  7. Software Familiarity: Experience with AutoCAD, INTOOLs, PDS, SP3D, and PDMS.
  8. Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs): Hands-on experience in attending FATs and SATs.
  9. Project Life Cycle: Must be part of the complete life cycle of the Instrumentation discipline for greenfield or brownfield projects.
  10. Effective Communication: Strong communication skills.
