About the client: Our client is a leading international EPC company in the Middle East is renowned for its innovative approach and technical excellence. It plays a crucial role in delivering complex projects across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and industrial developments.
Job responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis.
- Interpret project scope and ensure its thorough and clear understanding for effective cost control.
- Conduct risk and opportunity management during project lifecycle to ensure potential cost impacts are anticipated and mitigated.
- Prepare periodic project reports, cost forecasts and present cost engineering evaluations to management.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure that costs are in line with forecasts.
- Implement cost tracking tools and key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring project performance.
- Review contractor and vendor invoices, change requests, and claims to advise on the financial implications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in cost engineering, preferably in the mining construction industry.
- Proficient in cost engineering methodologies and software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Previous middle east or GCC experience is preferred.
