Location: Mooresboro, NC
Shift: Day shift/on-call
Pay: $95-110k plus bonus (up to 10%)
TRS is currently seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for an industrial plant in the northern Spartanburg/Chesnee area. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee all electrical system components, interact to maintain integrity of the system by planning and executing changes necessary for reliable operation and continuous improvement, and be a training source for the electrical branch of the Maintenance Department.
This is the lead electrical position for the entire site and carries substantial responsibility.
Job duties and responsibilities:
• Diagnose and perform emergency repairs of electrical conditions that cause a shutdown/production loss, or unfavorable EHS condition
• Design, calculate and draft electrical and instrumentation changes required for improvements – includes wiring specifications and requisitions for components
• Estimate electrical and instrumentation costs for proposed projects
• Provide technical information essential to the work done by plant electricians and hired contractors. Inspect their accomplishments
• Interact with management, operating department, maintenance, safety, and environmental personnel to achieve a common favorable conclusion
• Analyze electrical data for the purpose of reducing downtime, identifying root cause, implementing corrective actions and make continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary contact for electrical utility in terms of maintenance, billing, and troubleshooting.
• Requires on-call support for power outages and living within 30mins of plant.
• Serve as electrical project engineer/manager for capital projects through the entire lifecycle: identification, design, build, and commissioning to include contractor oversight in all phases.
• Manage plant CCTV system to include additions, upgrades, and replacement of camera systems and components.
• Experience understanding PM systems and Standard Practice Instructions is desired
• Experience understanding PLC/DCS code for troubleshooting equipment is desired
• Experience with high voltage transmission and high current DC systems is desired
Requirements:
BS or AS Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field preferred
