"TRS is urgently looking for experienced Leadership in Health and Safety Facilitators involved in SAIPEM projects within the Oil and Gas Industry to join our leading international client's LNG Mozambique project team based at Afungi Site, Mozambique."
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• In the company’s drive to shape the organizational safety culture, the client’s recognized the need for an inclusion of health into its already established Leadership in Safety program (LiHS).
• 'Leadership in Health & Safety' (LiHS) program is seen as a natural evolution in terms of extending a culture of care to its employees.
• Critical new focus signifies a major and significant shift in the way that the client takes care of its employees in the long-term, underlining the real need for the linking Health to Safety, and not only in terms of accidents.
• To motivate a healthier workforce, develop and engage a proactive approach toward health, creating a 'want' within the individual to peruse healthier choices and actions.
• Nurturing a healthier attitude within the organization
• Focuses on main health topics: Malaria, Transmittable Diseases and Lifestyle, offering a motivating and emotional message to carry forward the client's Vision for Health.
Reporting of the in Field Response:
• Monitor the impact of LiHS initiatives at project level and among the workforce, the Cultural Assessment Tool created; consists of a package of tools that makes it possible to understand the perceptions and attitudes towards safety. The tools developed include a Safety Climate questionnaire and a series of Safety Interviews.
Continuous Management Involvement:
Create a process of shared responsibility and continuous involvement of all project management, the Site Safety Leadership Team (SSLT) was created; it is an integrated team that involves both client and project representatives who meet monthly to analyse and integrate data from the Cultural Assessment Tool with accident indicators in order to direct possible initiatives or interventions aimed at improving culture and behaviours on site.
Continuous Improvement:
• Lessons Learned system set up in which the implementation process of the new tools is periodically reviewed and all the changes and improvements introduced are recorded to make them more effective. The Cultural Assessment Tool is proving to be a fundamental tool for providing data on the status of a safety culture at the sites involved in the projects
TERTIARY QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Technical Diploma in Leadership in Health & Safety
• Experience in Petrochemical plant environment, preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS)
• Knowledge of traditional and modern educational techniques
• Ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
