TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mining & Maintenance Manager to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives that enhance safety, productivity, and operational efficiency at a major mining site. This is a Permanent Full Time position in our client's Mildred Lake office.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong on-site presence, actively engaging with teams and operations to drive performance.
- Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans aligned with production goals and safety standards.
- Optimize maintenance scheduling and execution to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Enhance preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to support long-term asset health.
- Collaborate with production and planning teams to ensure alignment between maintenance and operational priorities.
- Support the deployment and optimization of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS).
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Communicate project updates and performance metrics to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the value of services through measurable improvements in cost, efficiency, and reliability.
- Partner with OEMs and vendors to adopt innovative maintenance solutions and best practices.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing maintenance teams.
- Experience with heavy duty equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental compliance, and operational best practices.
- Proven track record in project management and performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with mining software, automation systems, and digital maintenance tools.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, collaborative, and service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to lead through ambiguity and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
