TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for a Mechanical Estimator role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage individual work priorities while contributing to team objectives.
- Support the preparation of both engineering office and field-based construction estimates.
- Create and maintain estimate schedules.
- Ensure traceability and transparency of estimate data, reconciling with source documentation.
- Understand and apply Work Breakdown Structures to organize and structure estimates effectively.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive cost estimates aligned with project scope and timelines.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in cost estimating, with a focus on mechanical and piping systems.
- Previous construction experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards applicable to industrial projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Experience with process facilities in the mining sector is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of estimating methodologies and project controls.
