Client is looking for a Mechanical Packages Engineer
Project Type: Oil & gas, Petrochemical, Chemicals plants
Location: Al-Khobar and Jubail, Saudi Arabia
Requirements/Qualification:
- KSA‑based candidates highly considered
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- 15 years’ experience in petrochemical, fertilizer, refining, oil or gas industrial environments. Ideally, 10 years should be with a recognized international FEED/EPC contractor, performing mechanical package engineering to build green and brown field facilities in the petrochemical, or related chemical and Fertilizer industry.
- Experience in the following:

- Complete project cycle (basic engineering and detailed engineering including construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning support) of green/ brown field projects is ideal. (typical FEED project size of circa150.000 hrs.)
- Resolving operational / design issues
- Mechanical package design specifically related to PDP & FEED
- Pre-tender stage design
- Scheduling, manhour control, productivity and status reporting
- Secondment

- Up to date with the latest technical developments in the respective fields of expertise
Responsibilities:
- In-depth experience in mechanical package design in PDP & FEED
- Preparation of proposal for PDP and FEED
- Train, coach and mentor
- Strong knowledge of Codes & Standards (API, ASME, ISO, NFPA, IEC etc.) and Regulations (HCIS, RCER etc.).
- Deep knowledge of relevant international codes i.e. API, ASME, ISO, PIP standards and Industrial practices and regulations related to stationery, machinery and mechanical packages.
- Capability to interpret Project standards, specifications, analyze exceptions when put up by vendors/contractors and to provide technical and engineering support to stationary issues.
- Shall possess knowledge to review/update and develop company's standards related to mechanical packages.
- Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge is essential for handling of all the activities related to development/review of mechanical package engineering deliverables during basic and detailed engineering phases of major projects.
- Experience in engineering software i.e. PV Elite and/or COMPRESS and able to review stress analysis (FEA) reports to check as per international standards.
